WHAT IS HAPPENING?

Kepler Film Fest is an evening of shitty films by wonderful people. It humbly aims to make the layman a filmmaker, the barista a screenwriter, and the average cellphone owner a Christopher Nolan.

Any and all adults 18+ are encouraged to participate, no formal film education or experience necessary. In fact, it’s highly discouraged.
Whether making films independently or in a group, we want you to submit a home made film that was more fun to make than it will be impressive to consume.
We believe the more fun the process was, the more fun it will be to watch.

Seriously though, anything that would score above a 20% on Rotten Tomatoes needs to graduate to a real film festival. We are here to fuck around and have fun.

The second “annual” (its been a couple years since our first, but who’s counting?) Kepler Film Fest will be April 6th, 2019.

Information about the theme, submission dates, and registration will be announced shortly, but to keep up to date we suggest you subscribe to our email list by clicking “Receive Transmissions” on our home page. If you’re a YOUTH and want something a little more contemporary, you can also follow us on Instagram at @Kepler.Industries.

We look forward to a second red carpet event and all the videos we will receive!

TL;DR:
Kepler Films is a DIY film festival of shitty (yet, certainly aspirational) home-made films, and a silly excuse to get dressed up and romp around like we’re somebodies.
Join Us.
We are not intimidating.
